you are a very talented kid but you need to work on your presentation you say far to many things that group you with a generation that does not have the financial ability to do what you are doing and you need to mark your vids as part 1 or 2 and so on that way followers of your projects wont be pissed trying to find your next step in your projects. the biggest thing is the titles you start with a 65 mustang then it switches to 66 which is it 66 I think as it has no gt parts that are seen. as to your frame build I feel that you are smart enough to design a frame just not going about it in the right step form always build to with stand a catastrophic failure and by that i mean think about how you will fix the car if it were smashed in the front. do some research about the key factors of a solid frame after all you are on you tube so you do know how to use the internet put your projects above the rest of the for lack of a better term back yard boys. Build it better safer and faster but also on the short dime good luck cant wait to see how this one turns out

The real part is thinner because it's a different grade of steel. Your mild steel may be thicker but not necessarily stronger.

did you take into account the actual rear wheelbase width when you made the subframe?

I love this shit. I always wondered how race car guys build roll cages out of that tubing and now I know. for your next project, you should try building a side by side from scratch. Like a Kawasaki KRX 1000. You could design and manufacture your own and sell them... A coyote powered side by side! LMAO.

Nice to be back with the Mustang build.👍 I'm really enjoying watching this process; it's stuff I know nothing about but still very interesting. Apart from one glimpse of a spirit level, there doesn't seem to be a lot of "precision" here, lots of cutting and welding and "making things fit". Is this normal when building the front of a car from scratch? I'm certainly not criticising, not with no knowledge of the subject, just surprised it seems so straightforward. Is the tricky stuff still to come, as suspension gets added?
Even when the pipe-bender was being welded together, I thought there would be far more precision involved; the gauge on the side doen't look all that accurate. Just curious.😁

Cheers for now,
Dougie.

Been hanging for the mustang to return 👍,
That pipe bender makes easy work of it. I bent up new frame rails for a build on my channel not to long ago, using the traditional style bender 🤪, after watching this think I may have to invest in this style for future projects..
Awsome job on the subframe keep up the awsome work ✌

Thats the thing customer work comes first. Hope you can finish it in this time. A roll cage is not nessasary. As the car you took the moter out is stock... restomod it otherwise its just rice.make a nice tube frame instead for the front end

You should try and get a stress test done on a welded made up piece .Just to be on the safe side, see how strong that weld is. Remember you got weight and torque and speed in the car your building

Not wanting to seem critical but that tubing is what’s called seamed, which is unsuitable for this purpose,. The type needed is what’s called drawn pipe which is used in roll cages for the strength it produces under load example being in a collision

@vTuned garage: you need to emphasize the importance of having accurate measurements and datum points when doing a build like this. There are people that will use your videos for guidance in attempting a similar project. Using phrases like "goes somewhere around here", "looks pretty close", and other similar terms is doing a huge disservice to your viewers and subscribers. There are many books that are written on the subject of suspension design because it is a VERY important part of an automobile. Something can always be welded together that will bolt in but that doesn't mean it won't be a death trap.
I understand that you have a lot of followers and I will probably be roasted and called everything but a white man. It is also important to know that it is not allowed to build roll cages and other components of a car with welded seam pipe in any form of racing. Yes, you may have no problems at all but is it worth the risk because the pipe was cheaper? I will take the backlash if it means that only one person steps back and rethinks the situation and builds something proper. It's not only the builders life at risk but the people around the automobile on the road.
Before anyone leaves a nasty comment towards me watch the video in this link for a comparison. It is going to be a whole series so there are other videos too.

I'll be honest with you, when I first saw you taking on the mustang project, I also thought, 'it can't be done'. But now I see your vision and I know you will be able to pull it off. I commend you for your work ethic, I admire your tenacity, you don't let anything stop you! I admire your talent and looking forward to seeing the completion of this and any future projects you might take on. You are a great example for young men and women who love working on cars! I'm 67 years old and when I was your age I built a business (VW and Audi) and I taught myself how to build engines and transmissions, both stock and racing and also did machine work: milling machine and lathe. Keep up the good work!!
